This is a purpose-build grinder that doesn't try to do anything else, and that's what makes it appealing. It has two controls: grind size and on. If you use the bellows, it has a third control to minimize retention. It's quick: grinding 18g in 5-10s. It does vary quite a bit in the time probably due to how the beans feed into the burrs. It grinds plenty fine enough for espresso. My one real complaint is the need to use the plastic cup extension to keep the mess down. The floor plate of the grinder should have an elevated platform instead to remote this pointless friction. I will make a new floorplate to compensate.
