Well Built

For some reason I thought the grill was going to be like a copy of other kettle charcoal grills with a really nice temperature controller. Instead I got an awesome heavy duty well built charcoal grill with the equally awesome temperature controller. It was well beyond my expectations once I opened it and put it together. It worked perfectly the first time I grilled on it the same day. Thank you.

A Tank with Precision

As someone who is new to the charcoal world, this grill is like a cheat-code to skip the novice phase. The temperature control of the Venom is so precise. Incredible. Also, the Venom on 100% speed makes a chimney starter so much quicker. The front hatch to service the coals is a perfect design. It’s such a well built product, it preserves unused coals for a future cook. One future product Spider Grills needs to look at is a weather cover that is meant for the leg extension accessory; so 3” longer on the skirt would be helpful. I did not buy the Huntsman to keep up with the Jones’, but man alive, the Jones’ are jealous.

Just Awesome!

I’ve used it 3 times and each round has turned out fantastic. Love the heat retention and the efficiency on the fuel burn. 1st cook was chicken and filets… used the setup to sear and it gets close to a Pittsburgh Style cook on the filet, awesome temp control for perfect boneless chicken thighs and finished with grilled veggies. 2nd cook was brisket burnt ends low and slow… perfect. 3rd was flank steak… all came out fantastic. The Weber propane grill sitting next to it looks lonely..
