AtomStack Swift Laser Engraver

Overall, great machine and experience. Only downside is the booklet that came with the machine. Us older folks have trouble reading the VERY tiny print. Not complaining, just an observation.

The engraver operates exceptionally well now, and I’m happy with its performance overall. The reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that mine arrived with a very loose set screw on the horizontal bar. It took me several days to figure out why it was engraving fine but not cutting straight lines. Once I finally found the problem, the screw was so loose it was practically falling out. That should have been caught before the machine left the factory. Customer service was polite, but not especially helpful in diagnosing the issue. Without using AI to help troubleshoot, I probably would have returned the machine as defective out of the box. To be clear, this was not one of the belt-tension screws mentioned in the manual. It was a different set screw, and the problem was obvious only after I knew where to look. Looking back, I should have asked for a partial refund or replacement. If another buyer has a similar issue, I would recommend requesting a replacement rather than spending days troubleshooting. Once fixed, the machine works very well. But the quality-control issue made the initial experience much more frustrating than it should have been.

Works pretty well. I struggle a bit with the coordinate system using AtomStack studio, and lining things up correctly, but it does a pretty good job engraving in wood.
