Q Series Bb Clarinet

The entire experience with Backun was amazing. They answered quite a bit of questions I had because I was switching from an R13 (after 35 years) to the Backun Q with cocobolo wood, gold posts and silver keys. This instrument is BEAUTIFUL. The feel, the mechanics, the intonation….it has been everything I wanted. Such a dark warm sound. The altissimo register speaks so clearly. I am in love.

Absolutely love my Backun Bb Cocobelo Series Q clarinet. Have been looking at Backun for several years and I finally did it.... couldn't be happier. Intonation is so good, notes slot so well, rich sound and I have been able to easily hit altissimo notes(with my same mouthpiece) that I was struggling with before. They just pop out now. Wonder how that happens?? And the horn looks so good too. My new baby! Great workmanship. Thank you Backun.
