Great shorts. The length and feel are my favorite part. Being 6"4" its hard to find shorts that fall at the knee or below. These are perfect. I got both colors. I wish they had more colors to choose from. Id get them all

Definitely the sturdiest shorts in the line. Along with that comes the weight. They’re built to be exactly that. The longer length contributes to the weight as well. None of these comments are a bad thing. If you want light, sturdy shorts than go Cordura. If weight and length aren’t an issue the Recons are the best choice. They are intention built. The elastic waist band & built in belt are dial in the fit. I hope they remain part of the line as there isn’t anything else like it.

These are some of the best-designed and most thoughtfully engineered shorts I've purchased in years. One of the things I appreciate most is that they are made without synthetic materials, which immediately set them apart for me. I also have slightly longer legs than average, and the length is just right—long enough to look proportional without feeling like I'm wearing short shorts. What really impressed me, however, is the pocket design. Many clothing manufacturers today seem to cut costs by eliminating thoughtful engineering details. The side and rear pockets on these shorts are wider on the inside than the pocket openings. This creates a subtle ledge that helps prevent wallets, keys, coins, and other important items from accidentally slipping out. In addition, there is a large, semi-hidden zippered cargo pocket that provides a secure place for valuables when you need extra peace of mind. I would love to see more shorts and pants incorporate these kinds of practical design features. Thank you to the people at Florence for creating a product that appears to have been designed by people who actually use and understand clothing.
