Perfect Fit

Made these in a mid weight denim. Part way through I was a bit uncertain, but at the end I was so happy with how they looked. Perfect fit with no adjustments. Took the size based on my hip measurement (10) rather than waist (12).

This pattern will be on repeat for me

Note the sizing, particularly if using non stretch canvas. I wear a US size zero or two, but needed the size six in this pattern to fit over my hips. Note, too, that there are now new instructions that flip some of the fly instructions for a women’s vs men’s style - do not alternate between the two sets of instructions for the fly. Once I figured out the sizing, straightforward and well-fitting.

I have some experience of making my own clothes but I’m no expert so I was very pleased with the instructions for these trousers. The zip went very smoothly! I did alter the leg width but that’s just personal preference. I made the pattern in corduroy and will make again, definitely.
