Leather Training Collar

I paid $30 for a leather collar when I first started using the check cord-and-collar combo for training. It worked, no doubt about it. But when I invested in this setup, I could definitely tell the difference. I compare it to buying a used set of golf clubs when you’re first getting into golf. They get the job done while you’re learning, but once you improve and upgrade to a nicer set, you really start to appreciate the difference in quality.

People often ask me what type of collar I use when training dogs. My answer surprises a lot of them. For more than thirty years, I have relied on a simple leather training gun dog collar. It is durable, reliable, and helps create clear communication between the handler and the dog. In my opinion, it’s one of the best investments a dog owner can make. The goal should never be to rely on the collar forever. The goal is for the dog to eventually respond to your voice, your body language, and your relationship together. The leather collar is simply one of the tools that helps you reach that point.

Nice tool to have! It takes some break in but I feel anything good usually does! Nice work and should last for multiple dogs
