Silicone Mat works great!
Have used the mat for hot serving dishes coming directly from oven and it works well. Size is adequate for 9-10” casseroles or pans. Thick & sturdy enough so it lays flat, and doesn’t move when placing a heavy casserole on it. Love the color, and design. Definitely recommend.

Going to the MAT
I have a GIR Kitchen Mat on either side of my stove top to rest my cooking tools on. This minimizes the mess on the counter that I usually leave when I don't have a place to rest my utensils. Yeah!
