I needed a bit longer barrel to keep intonation in check on my C. Throat tones and notes in the break tend to pull sharp. ( A key especially)
My control of sharpness has improved greatly and the new barrel has also darkened down the brightness a C can produce.

I recently acquired a Buffet E11 C clarinet and found it was overall slightly flat. I ordered this Backun barrel because it is 1 mm shorter than the Buffet barrel, and it has helped the tuning perceptibly. The barrel is beautiful, well made, and fits the Buffet and my several mouthpieces perfectly. I'm happy to have acquired it.

C clarinet barrel
I just played my brand new Backun C clarinet barrel in a concert with my orchestra. I feel that the barrel warms up the sound and pairs perfectly with my Packer C clarinet and Charles Bay mouthpiece. Just got an Eb clarinet barrel for my Noblet Eb clarinet, and will do some experimenting for the best set up.
