Leftovers Box

I have been so pleased with the leftovers boxes that I decided to subscribe. It was already the best value for delicious fruit, but even more so with a subscription. The variety has been great and everything comes well packaged and in beautiful condition. We have only found a very few fruits we dislike and have gotten pretty lucky that our boxes have been 98% things we love. (But we never have trouble finding a friend who is overjoyed to get a piece of fruit they love even if we don’t). This box has a Mamey the size of a football in it and it is one of those fruits that is delicious, filling, and SO heavy. Some fruits have as much compost waste as they do edible fruit, but not the Mamey! When we get tired of eating it fresh from the fruit with a spoon, we are freezing it in chunks or trying it in recipes. We recently made a “chocolate pudding” with mostly just Mamey, unsweetened cacao, and chia seeds. The Mamey is so sweet that you don’t need any extra sweetener to offset the bitter cacao. Pure deliciousness! The leftovers boxes is described as having “1-3 varieties of fruit” but could be more depending on availability. 7 fruits here! 2 types of banana, sapodilla, avocado, dragon fruit, key limes, and the Mamey Sapote!

Good quality with good variety but not our favorite was worth a shot to try something different.

Love these fruits! I’ve never had several of them and they have become my favorites! Sapodilla! Yummmm
