The maple end cutting board with feet will make slicing and dicing a real pleasure. It’s easy to lift up and down, and the knife edge feels great against the wood. Also appreciate the detailed care and maintenance instructions. This will last a life time or more!

Good board but some issues

The boards are nice. But there are some issues. I believe one of the boards did not come pre-oiled, as it soaked up so much more oil than the other one. So that was disappointing. Also, I wish I would have known a few things ahead of time 1. That the boards are supposed to be stored standing up. I had planned to store mine in a drawer because of lack of countertop space. Now I need to choose between clogging up an already small counter or storing them improperly (possibly sacrificing the longevity). 2. I wish I had known that maple cutting boards tend to stain. Had I known this I absolutely would have gotten the walnut. Now I need to buy extra walnut boards on which I didn’t expect to spend money and which don’t match my maple boards, and try to find a place to store them even though I am only using them for berries, beets, and other things that stain. A big waste of money and space. These kinds of things should be highlighted on the main product pages so customers can make the right decisions. I feel misled by the company. And I feel duped into spending so much money on the wrong products.

Lifetime purchase

No better example of the sayings “buy once cry once” and “you get what you pay for” this is really a heirloom piece that if you take care of it you will definitely be able to pass it down. Love my Boardsmith Maple end grain cutting board.
