Great Bike for Active Person With Body Wear and Tear

I love biking and I live in a hilly area. My biking has been more and more limited by stiffness and various joint injuries that come with regular wear and tear over the years. I can easily hop onto The Gazelle Ult T-10 Low Step without having to tilt it and balance myself to swing my leg over, as I had been doing with my previous road bike. The upright position is easier on my wrists and neck than drop handle bars. The balance between gear-shift and electrical assist is fine tuned and I can adjust it so I still have to work to get up those hills, but the bike has my back in case I need to increase the assist. This heavy e bike can feel like riding a regular bike because the components work well together. Only drawback, not the bike's fault, is the 50-lb weight. I can make up for it when riding with assist, but it is a challenge to maneuver the bike into bike lock areas and to maneuver into the storage area where I keep it. I didn't have the budget or the stomach to pay the extra few thousand $ to get a lighter e bike model.

Great Choice

After thinking about an E-bike for a couple of years, I decided to get this Ultimate T10 that was on a closeout special. I’ve had several back surgeries and do appreciate the more upright position, and the bike handles very well. My wife got a different Gazelle model a couple of years ago, so I was already impressed with the quality of the brand. After a couple of minor tweaks to the saddle and handlebar position, it’s been very comfortable on 25-30 mile rides. I did charge it fully prior to my last ride of 27 miles, and after the ride the battery still showed 5 bars from riding in Eco. I expected to probably replace the saddle, but it’s been very comfortable on my rides. No regrets! Also, the staff at Mike’s are great! Answered any questions I had, and the bike was perfectly adjusted and ready to ride when I picked it up.
