Pattern difficult for beginners

Although this pattern is single crochet, the changing of colors is a little difficult to get a smooth outline. The instructions were basic and did not really go into detail about color changing. I would not recommend this to a beginner, crochet person not familiar with intarsia crochet or changing colors frequently.

Beautiful pattern. Love the design. Directions are easy to follow. As a kitty mom, looking forward to making after I finish a couple of other projects.
