Making my own worm castings this season!

I’m excited to try in-bed worm composting this season. I think it will benefit the raised bed garden soil in this new 6-1 Vego raised metal bed. Ordered worms from Uncle Jim’s.

Worm Composter

I bought a worm composter about 6 weeks ago and put it in my in ground herb garden bed. I purchased 500 composting worms online and they are thriving great. The Vego composter is very well made and came with step by step instructions for set up. I love it so much, I'm ordering 2 more this week for other areas in my landscape.

The lid clip is very hard to undo. Worms can get out much easier than i can get in! 🤣😉 Great quality materials but very pricey! I love the idea of vermicompost but not sure if the worms i bought will live when my temperatures get to the high 90s.
