No down time!
Works just as it was expected and that is excellent. Just wasn't getting enough sun to keep charged on a cloudy day.

Currently using it for battery backup only, so have not had an opportunity to determine if it's helping or not! Solar charging was stabilized before installing.

Necessary
If you live in the north east this is not an option. The weather station arrives needing a battery charge and no way to charge it. Additionally
the is insufficient sunlight to charge it. I will be mounting the battery pack in a weather tight electrical box. The station finally works as it should.
