I vacillate between Portobello Oud and Sacristy for my home diffusers. Few brands get this sort of sophisticated masculine scent right. It hits all the right notes personally. The fragrance avoids the usual cedar-cliché, leaning instead into a dry, 'ecclesiastical' mix of frankincense and beeswax that feels architectural rather than floral definitely more "old library" and high end menswear store than high street retail. The longevity is impressive; the scent persists without becoming cloying or chemical. While the original smoked glass bottle is a design object in its own right, I’m reviewing the refill here. It is surprisingly generous, providing enough volume to top up two previous bottles, making it a rare instance where "luxury" and "value" actually occupy the same sentence.
