Spend the extra money if you can
Obviously no contest compared to a prior, 4GB Model 4B. But the extra performance is an improvement. It went from something I tolerated for the sake of learning to hardware I was willing to use daily.

The raspberry pi 5 came in a box with no protection packaging, as expensive as it is, it could have came destroyed. Besides that, it's working well, I'm impressed with it.
