Chain Stripper

Seemed to clean the new chain very well and wax appeared to bond sufficiently. Poured the used stripper through a coffee filter as suggested and will use again on next chains.

Most important enabler to immersion waxing

This purchase was a re-stock for me. I've been immersion waxing chains for over a dozen years. When the Silca Stripper became available it made two notable improvements for me. 1) Cleaning the factory goo became faster and easier. 2) The superior de-gooing as resulted in more miles between rewaxing. Presumably because the wax gets direct attachment to the metal since the goo is more thoroughly removed.

Unfortunately, I had to replace my derailler and have not been able to try it yet; However, every product I have purchased from Silca has been excellent to say the least. So, when you buy anything from them, there are videos that tell you exactly how to do it and they are detailed and very informative. This is an excellent company with cutting edge research and development. I am excited to try the chain wax system and will probably order the entire system after this trial run.
