Changed my winter riding attitude
I got wides a size up. Great fit. Room for heavier socks. Rode at 25 degrees with no issues. Love the boot feel. Like xcountry ski boots but stiffer. I wish I could tighten the bottom more than the top (it’s one boa system) but minor issue. Def want to get insoles. Love these

Fit great with wool socks after adding a half size(us) keeps my feet warm while riding for 5+ hours and worked great with my time ATAC pedals while providing awesome control of my fixed gear. Definitely recommend and in my opinion totally worth the pricetag

Exactly what I was looking for
This is a great cold weather shoe that I’m using for my mountain bike and my gravel bike. I’ve used it as high as 45° and down to 28° on a windy damp day so far with no problem whatsoever. For starters, I would say it is true to size. I normally wear a 42 wide Sidi both Mountain and Road and they fit snug. I ordered the lake shoe in 43 wide and initially it felt similarly snug but after breaking in for just a little bit walking around my house, I could tell it truly is a size 43 and looser than my prior shoes. That of course allows for a slightly thicker sock. I personally use midweight smart wool ski socks that come all the way up over my calves to the bottom of my knees. I never use heavyweight socks. I find that socks that are too thick cut your circulation off and take the input from your feet away Fit wise is perfect, temperature wise. I think I could get down to 20°. The trick is dressing the rest of your legs warm and wearing the proper socks and everything should be no problem.
The boa buckle system is awesome, I’ve been running it a little tight to get the shoe to fit correctly down low and then I loosen it up a little bit around my ankle before I start riding. All in all the shoe feels great and I’m starting to enjoy the support around my ankle when I’m mountain biking.
This shoe was a game changer. I love it.
