You have to apply it extremely thickly in order to get it looking black. If that is done, it appears as shown in the pictures in most light, but in other light (including natural), it skews more toward magenta with orange tones. It also appears that way if applied too thinly.

Incredible product, I really love how well the polish flows from the brush. Also the color change from different angles is INSANE! I've found my new favorite polish brand. 🤩
