Good if you don't like the feeling of wool

I don’t have much experience with wool, let alone super wash wool, but I remember watching a spinster on YouTube who said she didn’t like spinning superwash wool because “It feels dead” to her. I didn’t understand what she meant. I know now. This yarn doesn’t feel like a natural fiber. It’s soft, but meh, you know? If I didn’t know this was wool, I seriously would believe it’s acrylic or a cotton-acrylic blend, certainly not wool. I have other Universal Superwash Wool yarns. They do not feel this…odd. I don’t know what would make a wool yarn feel this way either. It’s a shame because the socks I knit up are beautiful and soft. (I’m really glad they’re not for me though. I’m also glad I didn’t buy more of this than I did.)
