Pros: minimalist design. 47lbs makes it easy to track progress without needing fractional plates. deadlift jack/feet.
Cons: knurling is really slick and you will feel it slip in your hands without gloves/straps. Be careful loading and unloading plates because the bar will tip from side to side on its feet. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.
My biggest issue is the bar just isnt centered/balanced. I get its an open bar design, but no matter where my hand placement is, i just cant seem to find the sweet spot to keep the weight/bar balanced and centered through the movement. I can feel the bar wanting to tilt either forward or backward with every rep.
Conclusion: works great as a deadlift bar. I personally dont feel comfortable doing any other movements with it. Especially if you’re lifting heavy. If you can get it on sale ($200), its a cool thing to have, but if youre just looking for a safer way to deadlift, any trap bar will do. Would not spend full price on this item.

Excellent Bar for Bad Backs
I'm a lifelong runner with Degenerative Disk Disease (DDD) very likely a consequence of decades of high mileage running. I'm 73 years old. I started lifting seriously (I've done it off and on for years, but always high rep light weight) this year. Time to stop the muscle loss and lift progressively. Squats were excruciating and dead lifts barely manageable. I'm not a stranger to pain, I've run 35 or so marathons and I ran a 100K race to celebrate my 60th birthday. I read about trap bars for folks like me. I had been struggling with 140lbs, it wasn't pretty. Enter your trap bar. Within a week (three workouts) I was pulling 200lbs off the floor! Not easy, but much less painful and hugely gratifying.
Your bar is amazing. Well made and thoughtfully designed. I'm no longer leaning in front of me to grab the bar and the neutral hand position is great. I highly recommend this bar for folks like me with bad backs. Thank you!
