Mature rose bushes worth every penny

This past fall and spring I planted the cottage garden of my dreams, really the garden of a lifetime, with Grace Rose Farms estate rose bushes creating much of the structure of my beds. The estate rose bushes are fabulous, arriving packaged well and in perfect condition, leafing out and blooming within a few weeks of being planted. In zone 5 it's an incredible advantage to begin a garden using mature rose bushes with sturdy canes and strong root systems already in place. Bushes I planted last fall survived the winter with ease and were blooming already in May. I planted many more this spring (and I mean a lot more!) and continue to be impressed at how healthy they are and how quickly they've filled our garden with blooms. Most of my climbers and trees are planted in pots to be overwintered indoors (zone 5 I'm not willing to risk these to our winter weather as they're more difficult to protect) but the beauty they bring to our garden is unmatched and worth the extra effort.
