One of the boards was split and had soft wood down one side 1/4” deep which basically makes the board useless to my project. I will go to a different vendor to try and get a replacement piece.

Interesting grains. Easy wood to work with. Some board had brittle, soft areas where almost like saw dust plug. Reminded me of powder post beetle damage thst ive seen on really old wood furniture. Hopefully, thsts not the case and the planter homds up. I will seal it when project done.
