Serious Hardware
This thing is stout! Thick gauge steel, nicely formed, welded and powered coated. When installed it really becomes a structural member. Highly recommend framing a box around it per installation instructions to eliminate the horizontal support struts. Really makes for a clean install. Word of caution, I installed the MM815 mount in this wall box. The receiver for the mantel mount remote is built into the wall transformer, and the transformer is LARGE. It won’t fit in a recessed socket, and if you relocate it to behind the TV, you’ll reduce the remote range drastically.
