GPS
Bought the GPS and a dash camera at a Tiffin Rally. The sale prices were great. The sales people were great. The GPS and I are getting along a little better, each time I use it. It's a learning curve.

Garmin RV 895
Have yet to use the Garmin, I will in Sept. Setting up for my rig took a couple of attempts sorting out rig dimensions. Very excited about using it. Quality piece, heavy duty mounts, magnetic to the post.

Garmin RV 895 review
Well, we just completed our first long trip with this. (2210 miles thru NY and NE) The good: Easy to read active screen - most of the time Good audio directions - most times Excellent mount system, tied into my Rubigrid dash ram mounts Easy setup to include your rig & trailer size and weights The not so good: Unit could not find 17 Retreat Rd in Southampton Township, NJ address, but could find the lat/long coordinates. Yet Waze & Google found the address no problem. After 215 plus miles and repeated attempts, the address actually showed up on screen. Routed us south to I-95 from Hartford, instead of I-84 west, to destination Southampton Township, NJ. Turned a 6.5 hr drive into a 9+hr nightmare of GW bridge, congested Jersey towns, re-routes. Worst travel leg in 6 yrs of RV’ing. By the time we realized the Garmin route pick was wrong, too late, already committed without significant backtracking. The screen icons need to be memorized, and most of the features, before you venture out. The icons are not consistently user friendly. The split screen cones on at odd times, and can throw you off if not careful. Overall, we will stick with it (expensive), and try to figure out that 1 bug, and spend lots more time on the capabilities/shortfalls. Techno RV, 5 stars tho!
