Fantastic

I love this. I've been using the UAD version for a few months and got accustomed to it. In direct comparison on my mixbus with same settings, this one "chokes" less and lets the music breathe more. I also love the AUTO mode here (I didn't in the UAD version). It's program dependant so experimenting with different ratios is very cool. Great UI, super clean and shows the exact values. Great sound, open and detailed. Oh and there's oversampling and it shows the channel name. LOVE IT

First time using a bus compressor—here is my honest experience

I was pretty intimidated by bus compressors at first, but the SSL Native Bus Compressor 2 turned out to be surprisingly easy to get into. At first, I didn't fully get what people meant by "glue," but as soon as I put it on my master channel and dialed in a gentle 2:1 ratio with a slow attack, everything in the mix just clicked together. The instruments stopped feeling like separate tracks and started sounding like a single, cohesive song. The presets were a huge help for a beginner like me, and having the dry/wet **** meant I could push it a bit harder without ruining the overall dynamics. If you're a beginner looking to get that polished, professional sound on your mixes, this plugin makes a huge difference without being overly complicated to learn.
