This is a great tool to sculpt your tone by being able to target frequencies to modulate, delay, boost or distort. This opens up endless possibilities in a simple and intuitive to use pedal. Blending targeted frequencies with the right effects opens up unique tones and possibilities. This is a great tool in your sonic arsenal. Highly recommended

Killer Crossover

I picked up the XO to use in a bass synth chain so I can keep the sub-octave clean. It works like a charm. Can’t wait to try it out with all sorts of other effects. Even with just a guitar pedal in the high loop, and a comp in the lows.

A game changer for bass players

I’m a bass player who loves experimenting with pedals, but I’ve always struggled finding bass specific versions of effects I'm interested in. Over the years, I’ve accumulated plenty of guitar pedals that just didn’t work well for bass. The Eastern FX Xo pedal completely solved this problem for me. The ability to split the signal so I can run effects only through the high end while keeping the lows intact opens up a ton of options. All the pedals that had been collecting dust sound are usable and sound great. In addition, tonal quality of this setup is far more natural and musical than any “clean blend” circuit I’ve tried on bass-specific pedals. For me, blending a full clean signal with an effected one never quite felt right — but with the XO my tone sounds right to me. If you’re a bass player who loves effects but hates losing low-end definition, I can’t recommend this pedal enough.
