I picked up an Anark about 2-3 weeks ago to test on behalf of some folks who have been asking me about them. Prior to this I handled the Anark briefly at SHOT Show, but haven't had any hands-on since then. Back then I was pretty displeased with the half-second or so delay between button press and light activation. I'm still displeased by this, as are a handful of my peers, but the consensus online seems to be that this isn't an issue or doesn't exist at all. Over the past few weeks I've been wearing the Anark daily (until mid-week last week) in the front left pocket of jeans and a few different cuts of shorts. Throughout this time the Anark continually ND'd in my pocket, becoming stuck in constant on mode. I would notice this when my leg would get hot, causing me to check the light. This was aggravating, but something I was actively working on a solution to. Jump to mid-week last week, I'm out to lunch with my family at a local diner. I start noticing light shining on the ground, appearing to move with me. At first I thought it was a reflection from my wristwatch, but then I noticed it was coming from my pants. The Anark had burned a hole through my shorts, and was shining out of my pocket. I hadn't noticed the heat, as my wallet had gotten between the Anark and my leg. In addition to the hole in my pants, a portion of my pocket was melted together, and the lid of my chapstick was partially melted as well. This has been disappointing and frustrating. I had other more minor gripes about the form and function of the Anark, but the ND and melting issue is a show stopper for me. Output and price are great, but this needs a v2 to fix some issues.

Have been using the light since it arrived, the light itself is great, only reason for the 2 star review it the Battery life. The best I can get is about 4 hours of off and on use. The low power setting is too low that its practically useless. In order for the light to be useful it has to be used in the higher power setting and that really drains the battery. If the lower setting was to be bumped up to about 300 lumens I think it would make for a perfect EDC light.

I got it in the mail over a week ago. I work at a cement plant and I have used this for every shift since. It has been fantastic! I have only had to charge it once during that and use it on day and night shifts to inspect equipment. Would definitely recommend this light.
