Brier Pants Review
Hi,
I am an intermediate home sewist and recently made the Brier pants in a mid weight cotton twill. I am 5 feet tall and have a 30" hip and 26" waist and find that I have close to average proportions. The main issue I found is that the waist was well above my natural waist as a shorter person. This caused the pocket openings to be too high for me as well. Overall, the pattern is easy to follow and I know these will be a staple in my wardrobe.

Great fit
Obviously this changes for every person but this is the first time that fit has been perfect straight out of the envelope. I made these trousers in medium cotton twill and they are great. More to come!

Perfect wide (but not too wide) leg pant
I made the pant in a heavy stretch denim, all white stitched in 100% white cotton then dyed when finished to a fabulous amethyst colour. I always do lots of alterations for a flat low seat & wide waist etc. I always find Daughter Judy patterns easy to alter to get a great fit. I previously made the Adam pant & 6 Coe pants. The Brier leg width was perfect for a heavy denim...any wider would overwhelm me as I'm not very tall.
