Epic 14.4

Happy.

To be honest I was apprehensive, this pack looked different than anything I'd ever seen, so I held off getting one until I saw enough reviews to take a chance. I've ridden with it about a dozen times, yes, I recommend this hydration pack, and yes, it's comfortable, and well made.

If you use a hydro pack all the time, get this one

I’ve used the pack on multiple rides since I got it and I feel it was worth the money. Once you get the hip and shoulder adjustments just right, it practically disappears. It took me 3-4 rides to realize that the hip adjustment needs to be pretty secure around your hip bones, like they say in the video.I bounced it around a fair bit, and it has stayed secured to my back without the bag coming loose. I also enjoy the side pockets on the 14.4. I can stash my tools, snacks, phone all in and be able to reach them easily and not take the pack off. There is a surprising amount of storage space. Coming from a full size Camelbak, the Arctos feels like it isn’t even there most of the time.The videos on the website and on YT are very helpful as well to help get you set up.

The EPIC 14.4 is a beautifully massive beast that rides like a small waist pack. I have loaded all the riding gear one would ever require for trail repairs, and still have room for Four liters of water Three Corona beers, chese and Turkey meat, cutting board, and utensils. My wife gets a little enthusiastic for on the trail meals. It all fit with room to spare. The beers were kept in large plastic bags with full ice packing which made for really cold beer and the four liters of water was cjilled as well. It was heavy , but the Hips carry all that mass low and stable. The shoulder straps were kept loose, as suggested and i felt no pressure whatsoever on my shoulders,really comfortable. Highly reccommend this well made product. job well done in the EPIC 14.4
