First SVS sub impression: solid build quality, accurate bass reproduction, incredible EQ/amp features and engineering
I've been into primarily DIY but also mid-grade HiFi equipment for the past 30 years and have owned about 10 different subwoofers throughout. My past experiences include a now vintage JBL PB12, a BICF12, two custom sealed 12" dayton audio subs with SPA500 500W Class AB amps, and then my limited experience with passive radiator designs like the B&W Formation Bass (6.5" woofer + passive) and Klipsch RSW-12 (12" woofer + passive). Enter the SVS 300 Micro R|Evolution. This sub is tiny and currently sitting on a shelf occupying roughly the same dimensions of the B&W Formation Bass, but it delivers substantially greater power, tight/controlled bass output, and powerful DSP settings. The very best feature here is the app control over the sub amp. Because of the location, it would be very difficult to get to the back amp board to adjust volume, so having remote app control over gain, eq, lpf, phase, and other settings is a total game changer for me. I can set a DAY profile when I want deeper bass and then a separate NIGHT profile when I want to attenuate the deep sub frequencies to not upset my neighbors. The EQ setting alone makes me want to sell my two 12" DIY boxes and replace them with SVS units. REQUEST TO SVS: I only wish SVS would sell the DIY community their DSP amps, so we could integrate them into DIY designs. Currently we are limited to Dayton Audio products, which are nice, but having another manufacturer in town would be a tremendous game changer to the market.

Amazing
2.1 Stereo I didn't feel my original 3000 Micro was lacking anything for my use, but after reading about the upgrades in the 3000 Micro R|Evolution I gave it a shot. It has improved on everything that made the original Micro great, while unbelievably maintaining the same size. The deeper extension is noticeable right away. Improved accuracy and response has also allowed the sub to blend better with my speakers. Loudness also increased and is way more than needed in my medium sized room. For those with space constraints this is an incredible option and value compared to anything else currently available. The app continues to be an invaluable tool to customization that also helps SVS subs standout.

Great little sub for filling in the bottom
I have the Perlisten S7t’s which really don’t need a sub for music (which are their only use). However, adding the micro 3000, which can be easily hidden, nicely fills in the <40Hz area. It’s barely there sonically, but when the music goes really deep, the micro 3000 has you “feeling” the music - similar to a live performance. Love it.
