Painter Jacket

I was looking for a simple chore style jacket and this caught my eye. The pattern went together well and looks very professional when made up, I was very pleased with the result. I made the jacket for my son who was very impressed!

This was my first time making a jacket and found the instructions and video easy to follow although the video is a bit too rushed. I had to adjust the sleeves for my fit but this was easy enough to do. Will definitely be trying out some of the other patterns.

Jacket in 5 hours

I am a fairly decent quilter and have attempted to make several clothing items through the years. The instructions for this painter’s jacket were clearly written and easy to follow. I made a jacket from linen in 5 hours, excluding buttonholes and adding buttons. I have a basic sewing machine and only used three different stitches to construct the whole jacket. I’ll be making more of these for gifts!
