Feedback from a loyal customer
Dear Sarah, I am writing this feedback because you asked for my opinion, and as someone who has purchased many of your patterns, I feel it is time to be completely honest. To be fair, I will probably not build this specific pattern. I have invested a lot of time and effort into sewing several of your designs in the past, and I proudly shared the finished garments on my Instagram account, tagging your brand. However, I have never received a single reaction, like, or comment from you. It is incredibly disheartening and hurtful to feel that my hard work and loyalty as a customer are completely invisible to you, while other creators get highlighted—often, it seems, simply because they have a larger following. When a brand completely ignores the genuine makes of their everyday customers, it makes the request for feedback feel hollow and purely automated. I wanted to share this because my dedication and the quality of my work deserved better than total silence. Best regards, Csilla

The cutest item I’ve sewn in awhile.
This pattern is awesome. I made it in a gold fabric for a cocktail party and it’s just perfect. I love how chic it looks. It’s going to be so versatile. Tank in the summer and maybe a blouse or turtleneck in the fall/winter. I have already cut out one in denim. Highly recommend.

An afternoon sew
I had the pattern printed at a copy shop, highly recommend if available to you. I cut the pattern and fabric at lunch and had a pinafore by dinner! I used a striped linen fabric, very lightweight woven so opted to interface the front bib as well as the angled pocket liner. I would definitely recommend watching the YouTube tutorial before starting, then reading the pattern and checking your measurements before cutting anything. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned sewist my favorite thing about Sewing Therapy is the reminder of best practices for the best results — press when the pattern tells you, mark your notches, and don’t be in a rush :) For sizing, I did choose to make size 24. My hip measurement is 50.5” and my waist is 42” - so I didn’t want to risk size 22 not being comfortable. I do not have a very large bust and I feel like the finished garment sits to the side as intended. Also as recommended in the pattern, I cut the back elastic to 20” and adjusted so the back piece felt a bit more snug around my waist. If I had to guess the final elastic size was probably 18” - it was nice to have the extra for insurance. A big thank you to Sara for your hard work, for such an easy to follow pattern, that produces such a beautiful garment.
