Ran 2 cycles through it smelled good for 1 day. And then it's back to stinking again. What am I doing wrong?

What a fancy air freshner. This removed absolutely ZERO build up in our washer. Not even the stains on the door from scent beads previously used. We have some build up on the gasket and I used this product 4 times before throwing it in the trash.
