Absolutely worth the price! The zipper pockets are perfectly situated for easy accessibility! It’s rugged, but its ruggedness is not over stated. Simplicity at its best in design and functionality.

I spent a ridiculous number of weeks researching backpacks across various brands. For context, I’ve previously only purchased Tumi backpacks with relatively large capacity (~28-30L) and great colors. But the price point is really too high, esp given that within five years, zippers break and tears begin to happen despite the “ballistic” material. That’s why I’m searching for a new one. I came across Pioneer by chance as part of my search, and found myself continually coming back to the site over periods of weeks bc I was so taken by the elegant designs and features (not to mention the Forest color in particular— I’ve had a vibrant blue pack for the last several years). I was struck by the simplicity and ruggedness of the design (very masculine IMO), the bold, sturdy zippers, and the claims about the fabric. Once I settled on Pioneer, I really struggled around which pack to choose—they’re all great in their own way—but ultimately I needed the largest capacity option (the Panda) bc I always bring my backpack when traveling and need to be able to fit extra stuff into it. I was super bummed that the Forest color was out of stock, so I reached out to the company through Instagram to ask if they’d be getting it back in, could they estimate how long, etc. They kindly replied within a few days and let me know it would only be a matter of a few weeks—and true to their word, 2 weeks later it was back in stock and I promptly ordered. OMG, I am so thrilled I waited, and I definitely chose the right pack for me! It’s absolutely gorgeous to look at, and, as a good friend immediately noted, “it looks extremely expensive!”. The craftsmanship is superb! The material (and color saturation!!), the thick, smooth zippers, the thoughtfully placed internal pockets and front and side additional storage compartments (and their generous size), the extra padded straps and the overall super comfortable feel when I put it on — all spectacular and on point!!! I’m so thoroughly impressed, and cannot emphasize enough that what they describe on their site for their bags is 100% accurate. I’m annoyingly discerning when it comes to an accessory like a backpack, and I’m SO HAPPY w the Panda. I bet you’ll be super pleased as well!!!

The bag is very nice and well worth the price. I will admit, I purchased this bag to use as an office backpack, and it works great in that respect. I will definitely purchase from Pioneer Carry again.
