My son is 10 and is playing in kid pitch baseball. He started pitching last year, and has played 1st base for 4 years. He is very big for his age ,at 5'4 wearing a size men's 11. I have to buy new cleats for every season (spring,fall ball, and for the last 2 years summer all star team) that's a lot of shoes and money. For the past 2 seasons I've purchased an extra 2 pairs. Bc he has wide feet no cleats are comfortable and some were actually hurting, leaving bruises . Not only that, but they dont aeem to last either. Laces breaking, solea tearing, and dont get me started on the inside literally coming apart. I could never find baseball cleats in wide, and finally I found new balance that offer 2E not 4E but still it was something. They were better and helped pain and bruising some, but still. Not quite there. Then I found Sqairz. Read a lot did some research and made the jump. And let me say. We will never go back to another cleat! The extra wide toe box, oh my gosh. He said his feet could finally not be contorted into his shoe. The extra cushion inside helped dramatically with his pain. Every step especially rounding the bases he said was so painful before and now felt like air. He said he feels as if he can run and jump better. Now when he slides into base, he said he is no longer afraid of bending his foot or sliding into the bag afraid of how much the impact would hurt his foot. He is absolutely in love with the Sqairz molded cleat. Not to mention, I have noticed and so has his coach, he is more stable at the plate batting and on the mound pitching! He said it helps his stance batting and gives him some extra push off on the mound. Also, the vibrant red color option ,was a no brainer for him always trying to look his best and match his uniform that is red,white, and blue. I am super grateful for Sqairz company for making a fantastic cleat for my wide footed big boy!!!!
