Steamer with Cover

Thought it was ceramic as opposed to silicone rubber, but it's still a good product

I'm using a polypropylene steamer for a while, but worried about the plastics, so I bought the xtrema steamer instead on impulse thinking it was ceramic. Mea culpa. Too lazy to return it, I've used it to make steamed vegetables, and found it to do a better job as well allowing larger portions to be made--the cover really helps keep the microwave from steaming up. Don't have any ceramic pots, so I use a Pyrex pie pan for steaming in a microwave--that combo works great. And it cleans much better the the polypro which retains the veggie dye stains. 4 stars because it wasn't ceramic, but I'd still highly recommend as a steamer.

Christmas gift

Bought the streamer with cover and xtrema cookware sets for my granddaughter Christmas. She doesn’t know she getting xtrema pure ceramic cookware.
