Great addition to your Emerson!

The regular thumb disk on Emerson knives is good, but if you have larger hands/fingers this button really helps with opening the knife. I've added it to my Sheepdog and one other. It is highly recommended.

.45 Thumb Button

This thing is pretty cool, it gives a lot more purchase when using your thumb to open the blade. It is super easy to install and I added a drop of blue thread lock to make sure it stays put until I’m ready to remove it. Great item!
