Lovely style but sizing seems a little strange

Unfortunately, this shoe was too small for me. I think this style may run quite small as, even with my usual size for an open-toe shoe (where one has the freedom to have the toes quite close to the end of the shoe) - 38 - I found it too small. The toe shape is a little more tapered than the photos indicate, I think. However, not all aspects of the style run small. The two straps that go over the arched part of the foot - the straps at the top near the heel strap with the buckle - were very loose on my foot. I think an improvement to the design would be to make those buckles adjustable. It is nevertheless a nicely-styled sandal and the finish and workmanship were excellent.
