Comfortable and helpful, but durability concerns
I am apparently late for my 120-night review, so here is my “I actually lived with the mattress for 8 to 9 months” review. I bought the Helix Midnight Twin XL with the adjustable base near the end of September 2025. Overall, the mattress has been very comfortable and was a major upgrade from my previous memory foam mattress, which had lost support and caused me to sink toward the center. The Helix Midnight gave me much better sleep alignment, and I credit it with helping calm my cervical radiculopathy enough that I never ended up needing the neck injections that had been discussed. I am naturally more of a side/combo sleeper, but with the adjustable base I often sleep in Zero-G, which puts me more on my back. Even then, my body tends to shift partway toward my side overnight, so “combo sleeper” is probably the most accurate description. My concerns are mostly about long-term durability as part of the full sleep system. I use the mattress with the adjustable base Helix sold with it, including Zero-G for sleep and raised positions for watching TV, studying, or using my laptop. If I were only using this as a lie-flat mattress on a regular frame, my review might be different. But the adjustable base is part of how Helix sold this setup, and it affects how I experience the mattress. In less than nine months, I can already feel some areas where the springs or structure seem to bow or deform slightly during adjustable use. The mattress still sleeps comfortably, but it makes me question how well it will hold up over years of regular adjustable-base use. I also have some concerns about the adjustable base itself, especially the stacked plastic leg design and how difficult the base is to assemble or move as one person. To be fair, I did not lower my rating further because of the adjustable base. If I were rating the base by itself, my score might be closer to 3 stars because I have more design concerns with it than I do with the mattress. But I am trying to rate the Helix Midnight mattress primarily, and the mattress itself has been comfortable and helpful. I still think the base is fair to mention, though, because Helix sold it as part of the sleep system I purchased, and using the mattress with that base affects my overall experience. Even if Helix does not manufacture the base directly, they chose the partner and sold the product. I also think a basic mattress protector should be included at this price point. A premium mattress system should come with basic protection, even if upgraded protectors, sheets, and toppers remain add-ons. Since the form does not allow half stars, I selected 4 stars because the mattress has been good overall. My real rating would be 3. 5 out of 5: comfortable, helpful, and still good to sleep on, but with real concerns about long-term durability and the adjustable-base experience.

My favorite mattress
Great mattress, when I’m laying in bed on this mattress I just think about how cozy and perfect and great it is. I sleep really well on it. It’s supportive for my back but also so comfy.

Look no further
Literally the best investment I’ve made, this mattress is perfect. I spent so much time researching and trying to decide on a mattress and I’m so glad I just went ahead and tried this one. I will be a helix customer for life
