Disappointed

I was very excited to try the Hydrolid Inquisition for my hikes, but I was disappointed almost immediately. I found out that the kit I purchased doesn't work with a standard Nalgene bottle. Instead, it's designed for taller bottles like a Hydro Flask. It would make much more sense if the kit included two replacement straws—one for the taller bottles and one for a regular Nalgene. That small addition would make the product much more versatile and prevent customers from buying the wrong version. Now I'm left wondering what I'm supposed to do. Do I really have to spend another $50 just to get the correct plastic straw? That seems unreasonable. Including both straw sizes in the kit would be a simple, customer-friendly solution and would have saved me a lot of frustration.

It’s a nice alternative to the bladder for short hikes but like the bladder system, it’s difficult to clean. The hoses and attachments are still susceptible to contamination. And the dark tube actually makes it harder to see/know if the tube is completely dry. For me, it’s not a great improvement.

I love it! I’ve been seeing this on videos of hikers doing the PCT or JMT and I wonder where they got it. Finally, after seeing on FB videos I can stop myself getting one. I use it for my mountain biking and hiking and get rid of my bladder water containers.
